Lincoln women's varsity 2014

This team transformed me as a coach in a profound way.  I was asked to lead the team after the season had started, and I'd never coached young women before but for my own daughters.  The players on this team were eager to learn, work, and experience basketball success, as they had struggled mightily the previous season.  We committed to improving as a squad and coaching staff and arrived in Montevideo, Uruguay to compete in the SAAC tournament,  We didn't win it, but we gave our best effort to the point of exhaustion, we exceeded expectations, and made lasting connections to each other as people.  I think of this team often with fondness, thank you all for that experience.
